First Christmas card

Well I thought I would try and make a start on doing some cards I had got some thought but then the changed it was supposed to for Linda `s challenge but it didn`t work out that way ,I ended doing one then then another but different colours in card stock so here they both are, I now like the second one better ,

this was going to be a white card but ended not that way to many colours on it ,

Here is the second one I made but in cream which I think I like  better ,please let me know which you prefer

white card :8 " card stock from stash, Music Sheet photo copy, centura pearl card embossed with Seadling Nouveau (C Expression ),2010 Heirloom Ornament , Centura Pearl card & free paper,
Layered Poinsettia , Felt from Hobby Craft it has glitter on ,Gold Cosmic shimmer glue , leafs :card from stash inked with moss green ,
Ribbon from C.Expression , Holly motif and Red cosmic shimmer glue .

The cream card is virtually the same but the embossed layer and ornament are the milk card from the neutral pack from C expression .

Naming card

Here is the other card my Daughter asked me to make , its for her daughter Bethan best friend they are nearly the same age just over 2 1/2 the girls are inseparable , they are so comical to be around , this is the first of hearing a naming ceremony ,it is apparently when both parents have different faith`s and they don`t want them Christened in one faith, I was given the brief it had to be Pink & Purple and butterflies on as it was happening in a butterfly farm.

Centural pearl card ,gliter card stock for butterflies and a touch of  Distress ink ( shaded liliac)

Tag:Spellbinders Fancy tags 2  : lettering Style no 98361 & 98360 (from my local show in Whitstable they didn`t have any spellbinders letter`s )

New Home

This is one of the 2 cards my Daughter asked me to make her ,the other naming card is finished will post next

I tried the buds for the card I hadn`t seen http://particraft.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/flower-bud-tutorial.html before I had made them but I don`t think I have done bad even made the really small ones but they are fiddly you can just see them they are behind the top one,I also tried the flower but didn`t put it on the card as it didn`t look right will have to wait for Sue blog in the morning though I have watched her doing it .
I suppose practice makes perfect , well here is the card

I have asked my daughter what verse she wants in it but has asked could she write her own thoughts

New job

This is a quick post have done no crafting today been out most of day , this is the second card I did for my Daughter for her friend hope fully if blogger works it will go out in the morning 26th , I did this one from Joanna Sheen  House mouse project CD

All I have done is matted it on to my black card stock , also cut out the decoupage ans just followed the instruction this cd is good for quick cards

This one is in our back garden we now have 8 Fantail doves the little box is to home the birds

This one going out to customer with bird feeder and post , the black bit goes into the ground

Next one is a bird bath so it keeps them safe to dry off so cats don`t get them

2nd Commissioned card

Hi this one I wasn`t sure about it was for a girl who is 16 , into make-up, fashion ,shoes oh and Handbags
I asked my sister and my daughter when she was down on Tuesday as I thought something was missing ,My sister said put a Bow on it and my daughter said put the same as the bottom accent on the top right side ,but silly me forgot to take a second picture so you are going to have to Imagine it there ,I put Happy Birthday on the accent,well here it is ,sorry for going on ,

Card Sock : Centural pearl card : Background freepapers from mag (shoes, handbags, fashion )
Spellbinders : Label 28 , Venetian accents,sewing elements , Paper used for cuts freepapers & foundations
on the sewing elements I cut 3 paterns papers : 3 Black ,then trimed them up so they had a black stand ,
I then put ribbon pleated to make it look like a skirt ,
Stamp : Creative Expressions : Cosmic shimmer ,Pink

I did put some more cosmic shimmer glue on the bottom after I put the second accent up the top so it matched , it did look right once I had done this and the person who collected it on wednesday  love it ,

Dads card

Here is 1 of 4 cards I made on Sunday , it`s for his Birthday Wednesday  I hope to write up the other later.

Main card stock Paper mill ,Front Centural Pearl ,I placed my Spellbinders Tuck and Fold Die where I wanted it ,then cut it ,then placed my Mask underneath the die then embossed it ,where the masked finished I placed my ribbon from stash, candy from stash ,and a few sentiment I got with mag ages ago, then put mounting foam on the back.
Then I cut the 3 dies with Foundations paper as its double sided  and  then  did the  folds, in between the first and second finished cuts I have placed a circle to break it up as the pattern was a bit overwhelming,I put on Cosmic Shimmer teal glue on the spikes and in the centre . I then centred it up and stuck it down .

To My rock Barry

Well if you have seen the last two post for today then you are at the last for today ,this is to my rock of a hubby, we have been together for 28yrs and married 20yrs and he`s my soul mate ,we are off to Rye today for the day I do love it there it`s a shame we never got to due the Germany trip but never mind. So here it is my card

I have use the new Les Papillions Dies my hubby love`s them have put three on and distressed them with Moss green ,used wings of hope dies for hearts and put B & M on in peel offs  Romantic Ovals these are turning into a fave die`s ,Back ground romantic M-bossibilties folder distress at edge with moss green ,sentiments creative expressions can`t remember which one  ,cosmic shimmer white PVA glue on edge of card ,white card is white coconut and the rest is from Paper mill when the had there shops open I got 2 big bxs of mixed card ( pick and mix ) and a bargain at the time

Well my Hubby wanted to go and buy me one but I said I would make it as I had one in mind that I wanted to due He has just to finish of the inside after the verse ,

here is the other Grand dies from the last spellbinders dies they was in a bundle of 2 on the POTW ,
I was told by my Sister the theme was emerald so this is why I went with the colours ,the main card is Mint from Hobby craft  Had it ages,I did want to make it stand up Card but it wouldn`t stand write so I did landscape instead ,Sue Wilson  Gala stamps are absolutely fab they are my favourite stamp at the moment I have embossed it with wow powders ,Also use the ivy leaf mask on the last two layers of the card and distressed the whole card  when still in dies from the summer collection Moss Green got it  at bargain £9.50 from a craft shop in Whitstable, they are part of Oyster Stamps  ( and not £17.99 on C&C). The mask I used the Micro beads for the first time was very nervous of using them but I found it easy so may use them more often now .then tag was fancy frame tags 1,  flat beads from my stash

I`m trying to blog three as we are going out for the day tomorrow going to Rye we was going to go to Germany for the week like we did on Honeymoon but after getting our 6 Chickens 3 weeks ago this was out of the question

Get well card

This card I made two weeks ago we had a hell of a week 2 funerals and on the Friday mum at hospital ,when I had dropped my mum off and went to park the car as no disable bay free ,My brother-in-law shouted what are you doing here babe ,I replied back what are you doing we chatted on the way back to hospital my sister-in-law had been taken in ,I said as soon as mum`s appointment was over I`d come round ,I did go and see her she didn`t look good ,so as soon as I gotr home I made a card her it is .

then in the evening we got a phone call from his brother not good we went over to Faversham to be with him
she has been told she has the dreaded C word ,she is now going through loads of test we do have to stay strong for her and I do hope and pray things do work out for her .sorry for my woffle but what a year I have had with the dreaded C word .

My GC was a way so this is the only way I could do the embossing on the card on my cuttle bug but I do like the way it turned out and more importantly it brought a smile on her face when she opened the card bless her

Quick Card

After making my anniversary card over the weekend my hubby came up with a classic last night  ,it was one of his friends birthday she always sends him a birthday card and as it had to be in the post this morning couldn't`t have anything waiting for glue to dry ,I have made a card earlier on in the year which went out to Japan and I had some toppers over and a bit of backing paper so this one was made up on the hoof ,I think it came out really well ,so here it is .

Here is a card I did for a dear friend of mine he loves old cars ,in July but didn`t get round to bloging it

I lent the stamps from my sister and coloured them with cosmic drawing inks ,Creative stamp verse,

Cosmic glue teal this is the only colour I struggle with but I now think I have sorted it after this card it was not flowing right but I have now cut the nozzle back more ,A spellbinders die and a creative expressions embossing folder ,I did the embossed stamp first before embossing the back ground .
